ICAR-Indian Institute of Spices Research (ICAR-IISR) undertakes contract research programmes in collaboration with public and private sector organizations, leveraging institutional expertise and research infrastructure.

 

ICAR-IISR is involved in contract research programmes with various public as well as private firms in the following areas:

  • Development and/or evaluation of technology, process or product, including economic and techno-feasibility evaluation.
  • Refinement and up-gradation of packages of practices, pilot plant development, marketing research and policy research.
  • Social science research for report preparation, improvement in technology transfer and agricultural extension.
  • Preparatory research aimed at development and formulation of detailed project proposals involving significant use of institutional computational and infrastructural facilities.
  • Futuristic basic, strategic and applied research.
  • Studies on environmental impact of processes, products and technologies, including sustainability assessments.

  • Evaluation of Ergon 44.3% (w/w) [Kresoxim methyl 500 g/L SC] and RIL-070/FI (72 WP) for bio-efficacy against Phytophthora capsici and Colletotrichum gloeosporioides in black pepper.
  • Evaluation of AGROLYZER and AGROSMILE for yield, quality, economic gains and their influence on soil and plant parameters in black pepper and cardamom.
  • Contract research project on the impact of climate change on black pepper and cardamom and development of adaptation strategies.
  • Project report investigation on the efficacy of Sea6 bio-formulations on growth, yield and quality of ginger and turmeric.
  • Study on the efficacy of Nano-Urea on yield attributes and yield of spice crops.
  • Assessment of nematicidal efficacy of fluopyram against major nematodes infecting ginger and black pepper.
