Institute Technology Management Agribusiness Incubation Unit (ITM - ABI) NEWS UPDATES RISE UP 2.0 Startup Conclave Resourcing Innovations in Sustainable Enterprises – RISE UP 2.0 Startup Conclave, held from February 19–21, 2025, brought together entrepreneurs, students, and industry stakeholders to foster collaboration in the agriculture and spice sectors. The three-day event featured the NavUdyam programme with an Idea Hackathon and Startup Orientation. The Udayam 2.0 Agri Expo showcased 70+ entrepreneurs, farm tools, bio-inputs, and innovative spice products. The Udyamitha Business Meet highlighted ready-to-market technologies, while the Udyamika Conclave focused on women entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme with MSME DFO The Agribusiness Incubator at ICAR–Indian Institute of Spices Research, in collaboration with MSME DFO Thrissur, organized an inspiring session for aspiring entrepreneurs on 12.12.2024 at ICAR-IISR, Kozhikode. Highlights: Insights on government schemes (MSME, DIC, PMFME) Expert talks on project report preparation & financial literacy Technology adoption and incubation Inspiring entrepreneurial journey by Smt. Rosy K. P. Networking opportunities Participants gained valuable knowledge to kickstart their ventures or take them to the next level. Orientation Programme for Student Startups The Agribusiness Incubator, ICAR-IISR, successfully concluded its Orientation Programme on Startups and Innovation, featuring four expert-led sessions on startup schemes, incubation facilities, and Intellectual Property Rights. With more than 40 student participants, the programme fostered entrepreneurial insights and innovation, empowering aspiring entrepreneurs to bring their ideas to life. Entrepreneurship Development Programme on Value Addition in Fruits and Vegetables The programme was held on 29–30 October 2024 at ICAR–Indian Institute of Spices Research, Kozhikode, under the Agribusiness Incubator (ABI) initiative. With 21 enthusiastic participants, the programme featured sessions by Dr. Elizebeth Joseph (Assistant Professor, KVK, Kannur, Kerala Agricultural University) on innovative value addition techniques, market strategies, and sustainable business practices. Entrepreneurship Development Programme on Value Addition in Mushrooms Agri Business Incubator, ICAR–Indian Institute of Spices Research organized a two-day Entrepreneurship Development Programme on “Value Addition in Mushroom”. The programme aimed to support small-scale entrepreneurs and mushroom farmers in launching value-added mushroom products into the market. RECENT EVENTS
